Hi I am getting an error when I open a excel sheet.

Excel found unreadable content in"my sheet name" Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook" and then I get the below pop up.

The pop up message what I get is "Excel was able to open the file by repairing or removing the unreadable content" and then below that I have this message "Repaired records : Formula from /xl/worksheets/sheets3.bin.part"

Need to fix this asap, scream for help

Thanks in advance

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Hi there. Unfortunately, this occurs when a table (generally a query) has been corrupted when the spreadsheet was last saved. The only solution that I have found (and believe me I've looked long and hard) is to find the corrupted bit in sheet3 and recode it. If you have an old backup (you do do backups I hope) then you could copy the sheet3 from there.

But the thing is that I don't have any tab named sheet3 there was a sheet which was named sheet 3 but I have deleted it. By any chance do you know how to find the corrupted bit or is there a method which I can follow?

It's the third sheet in your file.

If you look in the VB editor at your workbook code, you will see the sheet names listed with whatever the tab is now called in brackets after it.

Ok just to see whether the error will go I deleted the tab sheet3 , then I got error in sheet 2 then I deleted that also now I am getting a error error in sheet 2 even after I deleted sheet 2 . the code was for sheet 2

Do you still have two sheets in your workbook? The name of the Sheetnn.bin file has nothing to do with the tab name or code name
of the sheet. It's the index of it.

Either you've got a hidden sheet, or there is something very wrong with the structure of your workbook.
