Hi all,

I have a report where I'm using a DateDiff function to work out peoples age from DOB's.

I have a problem in that some DOBS are missing and so I keep getting ERROR messages on the report.

is there a function that I can put in the query like Excel's ISERROR?

Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
I often get around situations by this by checking for the existence of a value in each of my fields before doing the calculation.

Since dates are stored as numbers, you can do this with a numeric expression like:

IIF([myDate]>0,
do calculation,else return this value)

Take a look at the Nz function, it helps deal with records that have blank(Null) fields.

That will probably work but it might be better to test for null.

Iif(IsNull([DOBmyDate]), 0 , Datediff( whatever ))
