There are multiple ways to import a txt file.

To help you we need to know the exact step you are using if doing it manually.

If using code, please post the code.

The more details the better so we can try to duplicate the issue without using your database..

It would also e helpful to see the contents of the txt file.

hello, when trying to import i just go to external data, txt file, find the file through the browse button , click append a copy of the records to the table (then select the table), then i click on advanced, specs, click the table again, then press open, ok, let it run through, then next, next and finish

Sound like you are using the built-in import wizard.

Is the txt file in the identical data format every time? If yes, then yiu coudl use an inopiort spec.

If the data changes format then yu will have to experiment with the import setting to get it to work.

If some work and some don't using the exact ame steps then I find it is usually a data issue.

its the same headers every month/format yes

For the files that do not import correctly, I would look at eh data to be sure that are no issues.

The Access import wizard can have issues with things like ' and " within text string in a CSV file.
