Hi Excel Experts,

I have an excel file that every time open it shows an error message "Removed Records: Sorting from/xl/worksheets/sheet3.xml.part", see screenshot below. However, there is not sorting or coding in sheet3.

I had to resave this file as a repaired file, but once a while it will show up this message again.

Can anyone provide some insights on how to fix this?

Thx,

Excel Facts

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
sheet3.xml refers to the 3rd sheet in the workbook, it has nothing to do with the sheet name or the code name.
You probably have a macro that is doing a sort on that sheet, can you post that code.

Hi Fluff, really appreciate your response. I uploaded a screenshot for the 3rd sheet ("Forecast") in the workbook. There are functions related to "sorting", so not sure why. However, I removed all code from this tab, and now it does not give me the error message anymore.

Thanks a lot for your help.

It's the 3rd sheet in the workbook, not in the project explorer window, that is being sorted.
None of the code in your image is causing the problem, so deleting it will not stop the problem coming back.

Got it. Thank you Fluff. I removed the code from the 3rd sheet as well and the message did not show up again. Hope I don't need to bug you again on this topic. Thank you!
