Hi,

I had a question about the error message I was getting.

Error Message = "Not Enough System Resources to Display Completely"

1.) I get this message when I view my userform in design mode.
2.) The userform has a picture = 105kb, A multipage with 5 tabs.
3.) Size of workbook = 2 mb, Size of bitmap = 105kb
4.) Memory usage = 25mb, in taskmanager when the userform is open. only 3mb when closed.
5.) Excel 2003, XP, 2GB of Ram
6.) I have 1.5GB of available memory (Ram) from Taskmanager

Questions.
1.) Should I ignore the error message, my spreadsheet seems to be working fine.
2.) what is the cause of the error, it looks like my system has available resources since Excel is only taking up 25mb of ram, I have 2GB
3.) is there a way to fix the error

Thanks for your help

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.

Thanks for the links I think they were useful but am still wondering if these have to do with my problem -

1.) They talk about memory limits, that are exceeded when copying large ranges. But my worksheet does not have any formulas or excessively large ranges. The problem has to do with the userform, is there a memory limit for the userform that is different from just copying ranges?

2.) The second link talks about formulas and the calculate (f9), but my worksheet is not slowed down because there are no formulas in it.

hi

sure, these links talk about large formula ranges. However, the error message that you get "Not Enough System Resources to Display Completely" is caused only due to the memory limit dependencies in Excel.

You would not get this error message due to some other cause in Excel. You can cross verify the same with whatever resource you get through.

Thanks for your help I think this answers my question - the problem is caused by memory limits. Also do you know if this is a problem or should I just ignore the issue?

Excel behaves in this manner by design. There is nothing much you can do and I guess you will have to live with it. Also, I think switching over to Excel 2007 would give better performance in terms of memory allocation. I do not know the solution to this problem, the reason being, even I experience these errors on a daily basis at workplace. What does Microsoft Paid Support has to say, any idea ?

I think that is basically the answer I was hoping for. I just wanted to make sure that the error would not result in a crash or a problem that could effect the running of my program. Basically it is just a nuisance.
