The above was encountered half way working on the excel file. With the exact same macro used before my last file save, all of a sudden excel files did not allow me to run any macro anymore, and not able to select, copy and paste using the selection on the top left corner of worksheets. (selecting by clicking on cells were still allowed)

But everything back to normal after an overnight laptop shut off.

Could this be one of those cache and memory issues?

Appreciate your sharing if you have faced the similar problems before. And how did you counter this issue everytime it happens?

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.

Does the red highlighted text indicate you are selecting all the cells on a worksheet to copy?

Yes.

I am trying to select all cells on a worksheet to clear first. Before pasting the whole page from another workbook.

Yes.

Copying entire worksheets might be causing that error message. Why not copy the sheet itself or if you want to copy/paste limit the copy to the used range of the sheet?

This is because the worksheet that I will be copying from, is an excel converted from another different program.
There are lots of empty cells and rows within the worksheet of uncertain rows number (in terms of a few thousands) that makes the using of ctrl+shift+arrow buttons not very user friendly.

Anyway, thanks for the prompt, that has led me into thinking whether to have a macro that select and clear the content of the sheets, instead of asking users to clean the page. Hmm.... :)
