Hi
Can anyone help? I've imported a table and am running the Analysis tool to split the table into smaller tables (basically normilize it somewhat). This involves taking every field out into a new table, unfortunatley i get the following error:
"File sharing lock exceeded increase MaxLocksPerFile registry entre"

This unfortunatley seams to mean i have to edit the system registry? Is there any other way round this? If not what's the best way to edit the registry?

Any ideas anyone has would be great

Thanks

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Hi
A similar question was answered here and basically I don't think you can avoid doing a registry edit.

To cut to the nub of it, there is a good article from MS here that steps you through the process. I suspect you want to change the Jet4.0 MaxLockersPerFile entry from 9500 to say 20000.
