We utilize an excel based questionnaire to gather information.
We have main questions and then sub questions, The sub questions may become inapplicable based on the response to the main question. All responses are yes or or and responded to from a drop list.

For Example

1. Do you own a Bicycle ? Yes or No
1.a Is it green ? Yes or No
1.b Does it have 4 tires ? Yes or No

-- If the response to question 1 is no I want to automatically answer questions 1.a and 1.b with No If the answer is Yes I dont want to change anything in questions 1.a and 1.b

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
YOU CAN USE AN IF STATEMENT IN QUESTION OF 1.a like if(1.answer (cell reference) = "no" , "move to Question 2" , "Is it Green")

Thank you for the suggestion. However I am looking for excel to fill in the 1a. response of No based on a No response to question 1.

I think we would need a lot more specific details.
Like in what column are the questions. What column is the answer entered into and maybe several others.

Can you provide more details like this?

Remember we only know what you tell us.
