I'm wondering if there's a way to set a formula that updates to the upcoming Friday based on the current date. For example, if the current date is Thursday, March 5, 2009, this formula would return an answer of Friday, March 6, 2009. Once the date becomes Saturday, March 7, 2009, this formula would then return an answer of Friday, March 13, 2009. Is this possible?

Hello patel20626, welcome to MrExcel

If you have todays' date in A1 then this formula will give you the upcoming Friday

=A1+7-WEEKDAY(A1+1)

If you want you can replace A1 with TODAY(), i.e.

=TODAY()+7-WEEKDAY(TODAY()+1)
