I cannot get Word 2007 to embed the font "BankGothic Md BT". I checked the fonts folder and it says "Restricted license; Print and preview; Editable".
The way I understand the msdn explanation is: if the font has "print and preview" and "editable", I should be able to open the document on another computer and be able to view, print, and edit text with that font.
This couldn't be farther from the truth! I even made sure to embed ALL fonts just to make sure Word didn't consider bankgothic a "common" font.
I've been testing various methods by:
1) Installing the font on my computer
2) Saving the document with the various embedding options
3) Uninstalling the font
4) Re-opening the document
It seems to me that if the font is embedded, I should be able to open the document and have the font look right even if I don't have it installed. Isn't this the point of embedded fonts?
I would appreciate anyone's ideas on this.
