Embedded PDF File Not Opening

I have a spreadsheet with an embedded .PDF file in it. I put that document there when I was using Adobe products and the formula for the document shows a formula as =EMBED("Acrobat Document",""). New documents I embed show up like this: =EMBED("PDF",""). And if I double-click the Acrobat documents, NOTHING happens. I thought I could just change the formula but I get a message "This formula is missing a range reference or a defined name."

Suggestions on how to resolve other than reinstalling Adobe stuff, which i do NOT want to do. Thanks.

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
