Email delay?

Is the mail from the board a bit lagged or something?

I just now got an email PM notice. First notice today.
However, I received my first PM today around 10am, and have received several others since without any notification other than happening to notice it at the top of the page here.

Also, I've noticed lately that whenever I start a new topic and use the notify option, I get one initial email that there's a reply, but then never again. Like it turns itself off or something.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or does the board just not like me?
My other theory was that it has something to do with the forwarding address I have as my email here. The delays could be somewhat related to that, but I've never flat-out not received anything before.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I received over 100 SoBig virus emails today and at least one of them referenced another user on this board. This is a very active attack today and it seems one of the worm's tactics is to piggyback address names from common sources, like message boards. It might be that what we are seeing today got started a few days ago and that is why you experienced a delay before today, in addition to today. Nasty worm strain...it'll be on the 6:00 news tonight that's for sure.
