Editing my Original Post

I posted my first thread and the links I used for the pictures did not work.
I believe I have a hosting site now that will work, however, I can't figure out how to edit my original post.
Can anyone point me in the right direction here?
Thanks in advance!

New members can't edit posts - it's a popular spam method. Once you've around enough, you'll have a 10-minute window to edit your post.

Just add a new post to the existing thread with the images.

There is a "Test Here" forum where you can practice before posting to your actual thread. I looked at your thread and the images are too small to see. And since they aren't linked to your site, we can't click on them to see more detail.

Thank you again Tracy. I am using URLs from the hosting site PostImage.org. I will experiment in the trial thread to figure out if it will work or if I need to find another site to host my pictures.

Just one other point: Helpers cannot copy the data from an image to their sheets to test their ideas. In general you will get many more potential helpers if you post a small, copyable, screen shot directly in your post. See this Sticky at the top of this forum for more about that,

Hello Peter!
Thank you for the advice.
I'm having trouble with the link you provide to MrExcel HTML Maker.
I am trying it from work, so potentially it is our firewall.
I plan to try again once I am home.

Hi,

There is another Tool available that has both the latest version of the Mr Excel HTML screen shot maker as well as a BB Code Generator alternative.

Here some current links to try for that Add – In

https://app.box.com/files/0/f/3664133327/1/f_32131854803 (XL 2010 + )

and some ( bad ) instructions from my own notes on how to get the Add – Ins up and running is currently in the Test Forum:

If in addition you need an Image, some member use this
photobucket.com
It is fairly good, free, but the Advertisements can be a pain sometimes.
If you use that, or similar sites, note that you may need the HTML or the IMG link to post in a Thread as which of those is enabled is different for the different Sub Forums at MrExcel – see bottom right to see which is enabled:

<a href="http://s1065.photobucket.com/user/DocAElstein/media/IMGON_zps2mneoxb1.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u400/DocAElstein/IMGON_zps2mneoxb1.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMGON_zps2mneoxb1.jpg"/></a>

• Here in this Sub Forum you need the second of the two above ( The IMG Link ) – as you see the first will not work. That is because the first is the HTML Link. HTML code is OFF here in the About This Board Sub Forum. ( So that also means the Mr Excel HTML Screenshot maker would not work here ) ( The BB Code Generator, BTW, almost always works everywhere ).

And if , in addition you occasionally need to upload a file, then ( I think i may have mentioned to you before ) this is used by many members:

https://app.box.com/signup/personal
_ .Remember to select Share after uploading and give us the link they provide.

Good luck
Alan

We'd rather members didn't get into the habit of posting images. Once those images are deleted, the post becomes less useful.
