Hello,

I have made a code that will run when opened via task scheduler. I have trusted the workbook so it doesnt prompt me for macro. My workbook open event calls the macro. After macro is complete, it closes the workbook containing the VBA. Without blocking macro's or untrusting the folder, how do I edit the code in the VBA editor?

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
The simplest way I can think of is:
1)before you open the file turn off events
Code:
Sub DisableTheEvents()
Application.EnableEvents = False
End Sub
2) open file and make your changes
3) Ensure you turn on your events again
Code:
Sub EnableTheEvents()
Application.EnableEvents = True
End Sub

Hold down the shift key while opening the workbook.
