E-Mail address

Hi All
I didn't think this was relative to Excel problems but....
is it possible to have answers and inputs from my threads to go to two E-Mail addresses ??

I have a network address at work which I can't use at home so want any threads / answers to go to my home E-Mail as well.

I don't really want to be two people !!

Can you put a rule on your work email so that anything from MrExcel is forwarded to your home email?

The db is only set up to record one email address, so I think you would have to do what Jon suggests.

Because we are a govt dept I'm not aware of being allowed to do that......
it took 2 years to be allowed to even access the Mr Excel site !!
I will ask the IT dept to see if I can though.

Maybe I need to set up a (Michael M 2 ) for home, but it means anything I do during the day gets missed until the next day.
That's probably no big deal, as I'm not a prolific poster, as you can see.

Perhaps change your email address at MrExcel.com to use your HOME email address, then have your Home email forward emais to your work email.

OK, I guess my next question is.....
Could I do this with a macro, so I could turn it on and off with a button.
I note my outlook doesn't have a macro recorder.

In Outlook, you should be able to set up a Rule to forward on certain incoming emails (eg those coming from MrExcel). In my Outlook2007 the wizard for setting this up is in Tools>Rules and Alerts.

It should be in a similar location for you.

I found the "rule" section.
I thought it might be a good idea to be able to turn the rule on and off with a macro.

You can switch the rule on/off directly, no need for code.
