Dynamically Update Month to Date data label in Line chart

I have the chart below which tracks month to date sales against prior year and budget. I'd like to dynamically update the month to date data label as new data become available. I'm using chart layout #6 in the quick layout tab of "Chart Design".

What does the piece that the Chart is linked to look like? Your opportunity for dynamically updating would lie there.
