I am interested in finding advanced training for creating Dynamic Searches using excel. Any recommendations for books or other resources that offer in-depth information on this subject? I'm looking for something well beyond the basic Vlookup information & excercises usually referenced.

Welcome to MrExcel - anything/any type of search in mind?

You can do thing via formula, using INDIRECT or dynamic range names, that can expand/contract a search array.

You can use INDEX/MATCH in lieu of VLOOKUP, giving the search the ability to look in either direction for the return value.

Or you could use VBA's Find function in a Do...Loop Until structure.

Different search criteria might recommend different responses.

You might do a search of this board for topics dealing with multiple search criteria, dynamic ranges or Find for some examples.
