Dynamic Ranged Names

Can anyone help me?;

Workbook: "ProjectFilesChapter10"
Worksheet: "Employee"

You have a dynamic ranged name, "EmpList";

I looked up dynamic ranged names & I came up with a formula for creating a dynamic ranged name (it was the "Easy Excel" website);

I created a dynamic ranged name similar to the "Easy Excel" example;

You're example doesn't apply the formula to "EmpList";

The formula in question is something like this:
"=OFFSET($A$3, 0, 0, COUNTA($A:$A), 1)"

Also, I've been proofreading the book & some things in the project files are slightly different from what it says in the book.

Have you entered this formula in Name manager ?

It works if $A$3 is the first cell with Employee data and column A contains their list. Obviously this formula must be entered in Name Manager.

I'm able to use my "dynamic named range" in a function...;
But... It doesn't appear in the named range drop down box...;

You have to look in Formulas | Name Manager.

By the way:

=OFFSET($A$3, 0, 0, COUNTA($A:$A), 1)

is not the best way to create a dynamic named range. (It doesn't even show the name of the sheet.)
