Hey there,

We have an inventory question in need of a solution. As it's Monday morning, I'm sure people are raring to go!

What we are trying to do is create a dynamic inventory which has re-order alerts and keeps a static/audit record.
It works like this - We are a small contractor that has a warehouse and a truck. We need to have an inventory of both, and then one for each home we work on. Ideally, when we enter in a house that we've worked on, the materials will be deducted from the truck one time, and the house record will be archived for later reference. We'd then like to be able to use another form to re-up the materials in the truck when necessary to have those materials added one time and then that form archived for later reference.

Any ideas how to structure this?

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Welcome to the Forum. As for a structure, I can suggest you look at Templates on line for excel, if you are wanting to stay away from software for inventory control. open excel and then File Open>new>templates search on line for inventory control. this may not be the final solution but rather a push in the right direction. Hi Drrellik,

Thanks for the pointers. There's really nothing in the templates that allows for entering an order and having it draw down an inventory or adding to the same inventory through a purchase order. If you have one in mind I'd love to see it, but I haven't found one yet
