I would like to make a dynamic graph that based on operator, can display various metrics related to production to a date range. The caveat here is that the graph will need to change x axis values per operator due to the fact that each operator works different days. For instance, I want to select operator John, have a graph populate based on his number of parts made per to days he worked, then be able to then select another operator and have the dates change to his worked dates and his number of parts made per day. Any suggestion/help would be appreciated.

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
In these instances, I set the Data sheet up as a Table, and add a Slicer. In your case, it would be from the Operator and work date columns.

Then I create a helper table that calculates the different metrics that are needed. In your case, it would be parts made per day. In this helper table, rather than using SUM functions, take advantage of the SUBTOTAL function and the appropriate Function Number. Any Function Number that is digits will only calculate based on the rows that are visible.

So when you select John as the Operator, the data sheet/table will filter, and the formulas in the helper table will only calculate the metrics specific to John the Operator.

Does that give you an idea on which direction to take?
