Hi

New to PowerPivot, so please excuse the newbie question...

I'm trying to link two Tables, which contain the same headings but one has 2015 data and the other 2014, essentially I'm looking to create one pivot table from two sets of data.

When I drag the column headings together to try and create a link I get the error that a relationship cannot be created as each column contains duplicate values.

Do I need to create a third table with a Unique set of some sort ?, e.g. Account numbers, and then build from there ?

Thanks
Gav

Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
Yes, you need a third table with unique values in at least 1 column. This is used by excel to determine what is common for the 2 tables. If account numbers are unique and they are in both tables, then try account numbers.
