Hello, I have a big spreadsheet (15k) and I have some domains that are duplicates but each end in different TLD
Example:
mylife.org
mylife.net
mylife.com

So I really want a way to my life easier, I have tried taking .org/.com and remove duplicates, the problems lay when I get a domain that starts like this:
blog.mylife
blog.computer

So I would get blog with my formula, and I can't remove duplicate as blog 1 and 2 are different sites
Please please help.
thanks a million

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
If you want to remove duplicates without regards to the top-level domain (.com, .org, .net, etc), why not just use text-to-columns and delimit on the periods before running remove duplicates? You could also use a formula for stripping it off:
Code:
=LEFT(A2,FIND(".",A2)-1)
