Hello out there, hopefully someone can help with this. I have a workbook where data is entered on the first sheet (DATA SHEET) and then sent to numerous other sheets depending on the data entered. I would like a code to check column D in sheet 2 against a cell in my DATA SHEET to make sure that entry has not already been entered. These are unique 8 digit numbers. I have tried validation but only works if you physically type in to the column and does not stop when the macros are running.. Any help would be much appreciated. There are lots of macros which call each other up depending on the entries so hopefully there will be one for this and I can just slot it in when its doing the other initial checks before sending the info.
Thanks
Mark
