Is this perhaps the most common question subject in the forum? Perhaps we need a whole seperate board for duplicate entries discussion!!

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
I haven't found too much faster then sorting by the field you want to check and then in the first datarow just typing =A2=A1 and copying down. (Assuming you were checking column a.) Anything true is a duplicate. The only catch is that if you intend to resort that data then you need to also copy/pastespecial values.
