Hello,

Does anyone know how I can set up duplex printing as default in Microsoft Word please?

Sorry for the non-excel related question but I am assuming if I wanted to do this in excel also, the process would be the same...

Many thanks :)

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
can you not set it on the printer as default

Thinking about it, that would be no good anyway as I don't want every document on our server to print in duplex, only particular templates

firstly your printer must be capable of printing duplex, one method would be to set all printers to be duplex and overide for single sided when required, keeps the conservationists happy

it is usually in the printer properties for the printer, so can probably be controlled within a before_print macro, unless the printer properties have been locked down by policy across the servers

I have managed to successfully change all printing to duplex automatically.

However, we have a few templates which need printing on headed paper/continuation paper.

How can I change just these few templates to have a different default printing setting?

depends if these are based on a template, in which case you can set the printer properties in the template

open word, file > open > set search to templates (*.dot, *.dotm) etc and open the template, set the printer settings and save the template

Ok great, I've managed to do that :)

Just one last question if I may - with these particular templates, we want the page 1 printing on our headed paper, but if there happens to be a page 2, 3 etc. we want this printing on our continuation paper which feeds from another tray.

Do you know how I can set this up?

Many thanks
