Hello,

Below is a championship table for the model cars that I race.

There are 4 championship rounds - Coulsdon, Roedale, Haydon & Pinewood and I would like a formula in the last column where it currently says #NUM ! that shows the best 3 results only - we are yet to race at Pinewood, but I'd like the formula set up prior.

The "overall total" column is the sum of all colums called "total".

So looking at Ross's results, 33 + 50 + 45 + 0 = 128

If Ross scores 10 at Pinewood, what formula would still allow 128 to be displayed.

If Ross scores 50 at Pinewood, we need to drop the 33 so that 145 is displayed.

Could anyone offer a formula for me please?

I have tried variations on =SUM(G6+L6+Q6+V6)-SUM(SMALL(G6+L6+Q6+V6,)) but that isn't doing anything at all!

Any help much appreciated!

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
=max(sum(g1,l1,q1,v1)-min(g1,l1,q1,v1))
