Drop-down list from Data Validation List keeps moving to the bottom, any way to make it stay on the top?

I have a data validation list for every cell in a column.

The source for the data validation is dynamic, so that whenever you choose one parameter from the validation list, it gets removed from the source list.

Because of this, when I go to a second cell and click on the drop-down menu, it starts at the bottom of the list. Is there any way I can force Excel to start the drop-down list at the top on every cell?

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
I figured it out myself. By adding an extra (blank) row at the top of my source column, the first blank cell that Excel finds is at the top, thus it will always start at the top of the drop-down list!
