in a cell I have: =day1!night1 I want the day1 to incrment up and the night1 to stay the same. Is there a symbol that I can place in front of the night1 to make it stay, but allows day1 to increment. Office XP

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Take a look at the formulae below, the first

=INDIRECT("Day"&ROW()&"!Night1")

can be used if you start in the first row. The second: -

=INDIRECT("Day"&ROW()-4&"!Night1")

can be used if you're starting in a different row using an offset. Replace the 4 with row number of where you're starting minus one.
