i have a table with a list of start and end time and would like to calculta the difference between the the end time and the next start time (this would show what we call down time)

something like this

start time end time down time
08:30 09:30
09:45 10:30 15
10:50 11:30 20

how could i do this either in a table/report or query.

Thanks stu

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
You can use the DateDiff function in an expression.

DownTime:DateDif("n", [StartTime], [EndTime])

The "n" setting will return minutes.

By the way in your example you seem to be losing an hour somewhere eg 08:30 to 09:30 is 60 minutes.
