Hi all
The help so far has been great

I’ve got another quick enquiry

I want to get my sales sheet to do a calculation based on whether the option Yes is chosen from a drop down menu

For example

If I enter the amount of £1200 into a cell and then in the tracker the option Yes is chosen from a drop down menu, I want the sum of £1200 to double to £2400, but only if the drop down box says yes

Any ideas how I can achieve this?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
The DropDown box is linked to a cell isn't it, ie a cell returns the value "Yes" or something else.
Assume this is A1 and the result is in B1 (adjust the formula as necessary)

in B1
=1200+(A1="Yes")*2

Yeah that’s right
It’s a drop down box in a cell

I tried that formula and it didn’t multiple it it just added 2 making 1252

My formula reads

=C10+(H10=“Yes”)*2

That worked a treat
Thank you so much

The last thing I think I need is to put the figure of C10 in a separate cell if yes is selected so I can track the amount of doubled values if that makes sense

So instead of that formula doubling I’m looking to put in another Cell the amount original in C10 if Yes was selected

So in this instance Yes was selected so I’m looking to generate the amount of £1200 in another cell

Thanks :)

Brilliant

That worked a treat thanks so much

I hate to keep bombarding you but one other thing

Can I count how many times something is selected in a drop down. I don’t really want them filtered just the amount of times a drop is used

So I have a drop down box that has 5 options in like phone, tablet etc

I just wanted to count how many times a drop down is used rather than specifically the item selected

It’s to do a conversation rate
