Hi,

I have a data entry form in Access 2000. The fields are bound to a table. I don't want to insert a row if the amount field has zeros in it. How/Which event do I use to avoid this problem. (It is inserting records with zeros in the table)

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
Re: Don't want toinsert a record in the table if the amt is

It is very easy, and can be done at the table level.

Go into your table, in Design View, and go that field.
Under the General Tab, enter "<>0" under the Validation Rule (without the parentheses).
You can also add Validation Text, such as "You must enter a non-zero value."
