Does DISTINCTCOUNT work for related tables?

Hey there,

i just created a formula where I was going to count something in a related table without brining the column to the table I am currently working in. This resulted in an error. Did I do sth wrong or is this really not possible? :confused:

Calculated Field=DISTINCTCOUNT(RELATED(Contacts[Company ID]))
