Dividing in excel 2016

I want to divide a long string/column of large numbers by 10. For example 280875008 is in E1. When I put =10/E1 it is giving me 3.56E-08. I do not want the E-08. When I go to format cells and change it from general to number it is turning my values into zeros, which I also do not want. Is there a way yo make it stay as a normal number like 3.56 without all the drama. I am using excel 2016.

You said "I want to divide a long string/column of large numbers by 10" but wrote "=10/E1" which is not the same thing. If you want to divide by 10, the formula would be =E1/10.

Yeah I should have just written I want to divide the values in column E by 10. So when I divide my value in column E which is 280,875,008 by 10 using =E1/10 it is giving me 28,087,500.8 This is still a very large number I was hoping for a much smaller number as there was supposedly a ten for one reverse split of this stock. I am sure that the stock price which I pulled form yahoo finance and investing.com was not 280 million or 28 million on 11/30/2010 whereas today it is only $76.80 see symbol TVIX if curious.

Put 10 in an adjacent cell...anywhere!!
Now copy that cell>>highlight the range in col E>>pastespecial>>divide>>Ok

Thanks! Yeah this is dividing the value by ten bit it is only changing the value from 280 million to 28 million, which indeed is what I initially asked for. So it appears that this stock has had at least six reverse splits since 2012 thus making it wicked hard to figure out what the actual prices were (split adjusted).
