Hi all,

Hope you all are fin and doing well

I don't know if any such post is already there as I searched and couldn't find the desired match.

The first column is "CE" , second "CG" third "CH"

Firstly I want the date and time in both "CE & CG" get seprated in any other column. I want to calculate the time in hours. For example if the value in "CH" is (F) the ideal time is 24 hours and if its is any other than the ideal time is 72 hours. after that have to count the total done in 24hours and total done in 72 hours and also the other with the name of person which is in "CL"

Please advise, as I don't know if the date and time must be seprated or it would work as it is.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Can you give an example of what output you want? ... i.e. you said "I want to calculate the time in hours", so how many hours for rows 1,4 & 9.

If you want the time between the "add stamp" column and the "edit stamp" column, then just subtract them. That will give the result in days. If you want hours multiply by 24. I think you are needing =(CG1-CH1)*24

I want it to write "within 24hours" or if not then calculate the hours and write "xx hours". It should be in respect to "CH" checking if it is (F). if it is not (F) then it may write "within 72 hours" else same

and "konew1" I tried that before but am not sure if it returns the hours.applying this formula =(CG4-CE4)*24 returns

2/15/1900

2/15/1900

I just applied =(CG6-CE6)*24&"hours" and worked awesome giving output

23.4444444444961hours

now want to round this figure

got that done too =ROUND((CG2-CE2),0)*24&"Hours"

Thanks Mates , You helped me think and added knowledge, Thanks again
