Hello,

I am looking preparing a tool which helps in getting value based upon certain clauses provided below :

If X= 500$
Y = 1 (Frequency for time period in months).
Z=500$/2 and Z > 200$ then Z should be Maximum limit of "200$" per 1 month.

In other case,

If X=500$
Y= 2
Z= 500$/2 and Z>400$ then Z should be Maximum limit of "400$" per 2 months.

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.

Re: Divide Function with condtions!!

Assuming X is in A1, Y in B1, Z in C1 and message to be displayed in D1.

In C1, enter

Code:
=A1/2

in D1, enter

Code:
= IF(AND(B1=1, C1>200),"Maximum limit of 200$ per 1 month",  IF(AND(B1=2, C1>400),"Maximum limit of 400$ per 2 months", ""))
