I am trying to create a formula that will show a display a value ( a score between 0-3) dependent on the value entered in the adjacent cell based on numerical range e.g 0-8 scores 1, 9-12 scores 2.

Many thanks

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Thank you.

Jtakw, it’s the normal middle range that scores zero, with low and high values scoring 3, so have ended up with;

=lookup(I3, {0,9,12,21,25,30}, {3,1,0,1,2,3})
