Hi All,

I have a time stamp which relates to specific functions that are
performed within our Warehouse. The data is from our WMS & is
formatted as 00:00:00 & uses the 24 hour format.

We operate a three tier shift system which is :
06:00:00 - 14:00:00 Early
14:01:00 - 22:00:00 Late
22:01:00 - 05:59:00 Night

Eg Transaction time stamp is 04:10:28 , i would like the result to
show "Nights".

How can i determine which shift the function realtes to ?
Have searched , but alas , no luck !

Any pointers would be appreciated !

TIA

Russ

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Try eg:

=LOOKUP(A1,{0,0.25,0.583,0.917},{"Shift 3","Shift 1","Shift 2","Shift 3"})

where A1 contains the time stamp.
