I have the above data. Currently, I have 408 cases that have been resolved within 22.36 hours. As per my manual calculation, if I try to settle a case within 8 hrs./per case, adding 244 more cases, I can hit the target of 17%. As you can see, I will end up with 16.986. Can you help me create a formula on cell C3 that will display 244 depending on the hours I enter on cell c6?

Based on my manual calculation, if I type 9, c3 should display 274. For 10, c3 should display 313. For 7, c3 should display 219. For 6, c3 should display 199. Please advise. Thank you in advance, kind sir/madam.

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
It looks like your target is average time <17 hours (not 17%!)

In which case, try:

C3: =LET(r,((C7-17)*C2)/(17-C6),IF(r>0,ROUNDUP(r,0),"Already on target"))
