Hi. Newbie here.
I'm looking for a formula to help me work out a retail price.
I know all the basic formulas when I know all my prices or I'm adding margin to a cost price, but on this occasion I know the discounted prices, I'm trying to find the selling price BEFORE discount.
We are currently a trade only supplier but we are going to offer our services to the general public.
We have decided our trade customers will receive a 25% discount from the Public prices.
Being as we are trade only at the moment, I only have the current TRADE prices. So I need to work out what I'll be charging the public, so that when we discount the RETAIL price by 25% it brings it back to the current trade prices.
EG. Currently, we charge £34.99 to Trade.
I need to know the formula to work out what my RETAIL price will be so that when I take 25% off the retail price I am left back at £34.99
I hope I've explained that well enough, thanks in advance for any help.
