Hello,

Reference is made to the topic headed "modulus formula to select correct quantitys" (sic) at

http://216.92.17.166/board/viewtopic.php?topic=31390&forum=2&15

Last night (my time) I made two replies to this thread but tonight I can only see part of the first reply and nothing of the second (or any other replies after my second post). The first post included a simulation using the Htmlmaker utility (the simulation has disappeared)

Can everybody else see all replies to the noted thread?

Regards

Mike

Well, for what it's worth, I'm only seeing one reply from you, and that's the one on page 2 of that thread.

Hmm. Only thing that comes to my mind is that maybe Bill or Suat or one of the moderators went in and "fixed" the post due to a problem with the HTML code you posted? (Not meaning that it's your fault, but sometimes the code from the HTML add-in makes the rest of the page it's posted on go wonky).

Thanks Kristy. I was concerned that there was something wrong with my computer configuration because I could not see my posts (except for part of my first post but without the Html simulation that post is useless). However, since you can't see them either then the problem probably lies with the Board.

Incidentally, the thread shows 15 replies. My posts were replies 11 and 12 respectively but I can't even see posts 13-15. I think it is something to do with the Html utility. To get it to work, I have to copy/paste the source code into the NG message area (on the other hand, my posts with the simulation were there last night).

Regards,

Mike

Hey, Mike?

I think I've got it now.

I just went back to that thread on a whim.

On the second page, I noticed that there are no buttons under your post (profile, edit, etc.), so I looked at the source code for the page.

It IS the HTML code that messed it up. If you look at the source code, all of your posts are there. It's just that due to the HTML code for some reason, it's causing everything after it to not show up. I think maybe you went over the limit for the number of characters in a post. At least that's what seems to do it most of the time.

According to what's showing up in the source code, you also said:

For some reason, I could not get back into my previous post to add an example to my comment "You may have to play around with the Y/N in column B for certain input"

If you input 60, the model will initially show 50 x 1 with 10 as the remainder in D13. In this case, put N in cell B9 and the model will then show 20 x 3 (with a remainder of zero).

Sound familiar?

Kristy and Nate,

Many thanks. The size of my Html post was only 10 columns by 15 rows with a table in A1:D13. However, to format the simulation to make it look presentable, I used an old trick Netscape trick to force columns to a certain size i.e. inputting "XXXXXX"(without the apostrophes) in a cell and formatting the cell with white. Maybe this caused the problem.

Anyway, I will re-post my reply in another thread. This will provide an opportunity to those people who posted replies 13-15 to also re-post (although they probably reported that my post was incomplete/missing or that I messed up the Board).

Regards,

Mike
