Disappearing Curves ?

Hello,

Sr. Citizen now, and not too sharp with this, so please bear with me a bit.

Using the latest Excel vers. on a new iMac.

Never had these problems before using Excel 2007 (on Windows)

a. I have a simple scatter graph of dates and a blood pressure readings next to it, in a row.
Next row down has another date, etc.

I plot these as a simple scatter graph.
It does plot up fine.

But, if after going to "Select Data", I select a few rows at the end that are blank (so far), any and all previous curves showing in
the graph now are blank.
The axes are still there, and labeled as I want them, but no curves appear.

Why ?

I would like to select a lot of blank lines after the last one that has data, so that I don't have to do a new "Select Data" each time I add another date.

I guess I can use Dynamic Names, etc., but would like to do it in a very simple way, as with Excel 2007, and also tounderstand why it won't.

b. I would also, like it to add any new data to the chart automatically, and have it re-plot with this added data, once I enter it into the spreadsheet.

Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob
