disabling the info / warning messages!!!

hi,

pls help me disabling the prompt msg that encounter during the macro is running for eg - sheet is protected etc.

secondly I wanted to know if i am asking user to input a no. in a input box but if the user presses cancel button insead of pressing ok then their should not be any error. it should just end that routine.

You'll need to unprotect the sheet to work with it (I think), for other general prompts try;

Code:
Application.DisplayAlerts = False

For your "No" message box, something along the lines of;

Code:
If ans = vbNo Then
        Exit Sub
End If

JazzSP8 is correct your best bet is to unprotect the worksheet run your code then re protect at the end.

something like

Code:
password = "passwordhere"
activesheet.unprotect password
your code here
activesheet.protect password

same applies to display alerts dont forget to set it back to true at the end of the code!
