I have lock certain cells in my workbook and added a password to it. I am looking for a way to disable the initial password prompt command for when another user opens the file.

Thanks

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying

Are you referring to workbook protection or sheet protection ?

If sheet protection, the users won't be prompted with a password prompt.

I just tried it again with only sheet protection. When I went to open it did prompt the user to enter a password.
