Hey everyone,
Hoping someone on here can help
I am using a data connection from an Access Database to populate a number of tables in excel. The connection works great except that whenever the excel spreadsheet is open no one else is able to make changes to the database.
People who access the spreadsheet only need to refresh it once to download the latest data, once they have done that there is no longer a need for it to be connected.
I have assigned a number of Macro's to help with the automation of the spreadsheet so
1. setup spreadsheet for new data
2. refresh all data tables
3. update all formula
I want to add a fourth into this of 'Disable all data connections' so that people can then continue to stay in the spreadsheet, without locking people out of the database.
Does anyone have any ideas of how to do this?
It feels like it should be simple, but my mind is drawing a blank
