I just received a new pc from work and my files were copied over to it from my old laptop. However, now when I try to open files from SharePoint or those saved on my desktop I get the MS message box that states:
The file you are trying to open, 'Videos-library.ms', is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before openting the file. do yu want to open the file now?

The files I am trying to open are all .xlsx files. Is this just a matter of changing a setting somewhere within excel?

Baffled - all help appreciated!:eeek:
