Desktop Icon Activates Macro

Good day,

I am trying to figure out how to create a desktop link that activates a macro. I have a macro that runs everyday but I have to open an excel first to run it. Is it possible to just have a shortcut that activates it?

Click the italics "fx" icon to the left of the formula bar to open the Functions Arguments dialog. Help is displayed for each argument.
I don't think so but you can have code the runs when you open the workbook.
