There seem to be a fair few questions about how to design e.g. a database - Excel or Access etc questions. I just wondered if a separate section on this would be of benefit.

I have certainly read numerous threads in Excel Help where better initial design would have saved a lot of grief.

Just a thought.

Hi,

numerous times this kinda suggestions has been made
could be a good idea from some point of view
the most frequent answer was: too difficult to manage those subdivisions

Often questions starting with: "what VBA do I need to..." do end with "thanks for the formula" ! So, in what subforum would you put those threads ?

to my sense the search-function could be more sophisticated: this would diminish the need for those subforums
I wonder what you get when searching for
database structure

or googling
http://www.google.com/search?as_q=&...sitesearch=MrExcel.com&as_rights=&safe=images

just my two cents

kind regards,
Erik
