Hi everyone!

I would like to automate a depreciation schedule in excel with the following data attributes, but I keep struggling on getting a formula I can use for each cell due to the partial months.

For example:

Start Date | End Date | Depreciation Value | Asset | List of months across
11/5/25 | 11/17/2030 | $1M | x | Jan | Feb | etc...

I would like to calculate the depreciation per month and partial in the beg and end months all in one swift formula.

Appreciate the help in advance!

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Why would you have a start date of 11/5/25 and an end date of 11/17/30 ?
Depreciation is normally calculated based on a fixed number of complete months from the start date.
