Hi,

Chapter 10 of Bill Jelen's book: 'Pivot Table Data Crunching: Excel 2010' references a demo.txt file. This is a large text file that is used in examples throughout chapter 10. I was able to successfully download all the files for this book, however the demo.txt file is missing.

Is there another location where I can download this file? I would like to be able to follow along with the examples in the book.

Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks,
Stu

Hello and welcome to The Board.
I do not have that file in the sample files download for that book either.
I believe that Chapter 10 has been adapted from some of the content of "PowerPivot for the Data Analyst", also written by Bill Jelen and the demo.txt sample file is available in the download for that book.
Both these books may have been 'rushed to Press' as I found similar problems with "PowerPivot for the Data Analyst" - it was difficult to find the data to be able to follow the examples. I gave up with that book and bought "Practical PowerPivot & DAX Formulas for Excel 2010" - it uses the Microsoft Northwind database for the examples and it even provided an Excel version of the database for those without Microsoft Access.
