demo.txt file for PivotTable Data Crunching 2010 Book

Hi,

I have Bill Jelen's book, PivotTable Data Crunching 2010. In the book he references where you can download the help files to follow along with the exercises in the book, however there is one file missing. For the chapter on PowerPivot, he references a file called demo.txt that is not part of the download package.

Does anyone know where this file may be available for download?

Hello and welcome to The Board.
The file should have been in the zip download but seems to have been missed out from the MrExcel download site.
There is a solution though - go to the publisher's web site and search for the book using the ISBN reference. When you get to the page you will find a "Downloads" tab and you can download the sample files from there. It does include the demo.txt file (58Mb in size) - I have just tried it.

Perfect!! Thank you for the tip! It's helpful to be able to work along with the examples provided. I appreciate your taking the time to look into this.

As information, there is another file referenced on Page 216 of the book called 'Ch10WeatherMashup.xlsx'. This file is not in the download - at least by that name. It appears the tables referenced in the example beginning on Page 216 are in the download files with the naming convention 'PTChapter10zz.xlsx', where zz is a reference to a portion of Chapter 10.
